• The owner must have a minimum of three (3) years management experience in the type of business being insured.
• The business must be financially stable.
• The business must have favorable loss experience.
• All of the known exposures/operations are considered typical (occurring in the majority) for the class.
• Buildings insured must not be vacant, unoccupied or have a seasonal occupancy.
• For both tenants and building owners, where buildings are 100 years or older, the plumbing, heating, wiring, and roof must have been updated in the past fifteen (15) years.
• There are no current cited violations of fire or life safety codes.
• No more than three (3) losses within the past three (3) years.
• Current owners must have successfully operated this or a similar business for at least three (3) years.
• Sound financial condition.
• Insurance to value.
