VP of Business Development

BTIS is currently looking for a Vice President of Business Development.

This position will report directly to the President. The position will entail expanding the company’s business across work environments and sectors by selling professional development experiences. He/she must emphasize the need for the organization to record positive changes and experience profit growth in its dealings.

Below are requirements for this position:

  • Develop networks towards sourcing for new clients
  • Work independently on customers' needs
  • Identify and develop resources relevant to business development and sales goals
  • Sell the ideals and services of the business organization to the general public towards improving on sales generation
  • Oversee the organizational effectiveness, management development, and leadership development of the organization towards improving the core content of the company
  • Liaise with members of staff to ensure top level client experience in all cases of client interactions from follow up to delivery and needs assessment

Job Description:

The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with organizational stakeholders and senior management to establish and implement processes that enhance efficiency and improve work products for the enterprise. The right candidate will have expertise with system analyst best practices and have proven experience performing all BSA related functions. These functions include vetting requirements, writing business requirement documents, creating flow diagrams, creating UAT test plans and test cases, executing those test cases and reviewing regression results in order to quickly determine if our products are ready for market. BSA team members work very closely with developers on an integrated team dedicated to delivering high quality solutions, and the right candidate will enjoy being part of a highly interactive, agile team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Technology (IT)
  • Elicits and analyzes business needs for highly complex projects and validates that the solution fits within the long term strategic vision
  • Determines the impact and integration of solutions to business processes and systems
  • Ensures Business Systems Analysis (BSA) work conforms to quality and content standards
  • This position stays current on industry best practices, standards, trends, tools and techniques
  • Collaborates with organizational stakeholders and senior management to establish and implement processes that enhance efficiency and improve work products for the enterprise
  • MUST demonstrate excellent business Analysis skills and extensive experience working on highly complex projects with a high level of independence
  • Works collaboratively with development during all stages of projects to clarify project requirements

  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load/performance and system testing

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in IT business, product management, or systems analysis
  • 4-year degree relating to Computer Science/Information Technology/Business
  • Proficient in Agile development methodologies and bug tracking tools such as JIRA ,TFS
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to identify cause/effect relationships and address root causes of problems wherever they arise
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear and impactful communications, both oral and written
  • Must be able to learn quickly when facing new problems, enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks, and be willing to experiment/be highly innovative in finding solutions
  • Ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups, and be able to win concessions without damaging relationships
  • Extremely strong investigative and interpretive skills required
  • Very strong multitasking skills will be required, must be comfortable in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Power Point, Visio

Job Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for determining if applicant is eligible for insurance coverage while working with our carrier partners. Identifies and calculates risk of loss from policyholders and green lights or denies coverage accordingly. Establish strong relationships with brokers and carrier partners to assure highest level of success. Participation in ongoing staff training, auditing work and creating status reports for management. Recommend changes needed for success with existing markets or additional markets that may be needed.

Description of Duties

  • Evaluate reinsurance of policy when risk is high / decline excessive risks
  • Decrease value of policy when risk is substandard and specify applicable endorsements or apply rating to ensure safe profitable distribution of risks, using reference materials
  • Examine documents to determine degree of risk from such factors as applicant financial standing and value and condition of property
  • Review company records to determine amount of insurance in force on single risk of group of closely related risks
  • Write to field representatives, medical personnel, and others to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain company underwriting policies
  • Create business correspondence to communicate between all necessary parties
  • Identify financial risks to company and review data with carrier partners
  • Analyze financial data
  • Evaluate degree of financial risk
  • Follow contract, property, or insurance laws
  • Gather relevant financial data
  • Review data on insurance applications or policies

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information (when needed), access and fulfill customer needs, educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contact and document interactions through the company's electronic filing system
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer experience

Education and Experience Requirements:
