Summary:

The Workers' Compensation Underwriter is responsible for the evaluation, selection, acceptance, rejection, pricing and servicing of commercial insurance policies within accepted company procedures and guidelines. Maintains effective agency relationships and manages agency profitability within assigned territories.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews renewal policies for eligibility, new business to ensure that all policy documentation is in place, and decisions made by underwriting assistants to ensure long term profitability
  • Determines acceptability of renewals utilizing loss control inspections, motor vehicle records, loss experience reports and underwriting filings
  • Reviews and revises pricing and coverage to ensure premiums charged are commensurate with the exposure
  • Reviews daily correspondence, reports, endorsements, loss control reports, and publications pertaining to responsibility
  • Examines loss notices, desirability of risk notices from claims and recommends appropriate action
  • Assists rating technicians on rating decisions
  • Places facultative reinsurance for risks exceeding the reinsurance treaty capacity within the company
  • Coordinates with the department manager for the processing of non-renewal and conditional renewal notices within time frames as required by the Department of Insurance

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of property and casualty underwriting procedures and policies

Job Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for determining if applicant is eligible for insurance coverage while working with our carrier partners. Identifies and calculates risk of loss from policyholders and green-lights or denies coverage accordingly. Establishes strong relationships with brokers and carrier partners to ensure the highest level of success. Participation in ongoing staff training, auditing work and creating status reports for management. Recommends changes for success with existing markets or additional markets that may be needed.

  • Decrease value of policy when risk is substandard and specify applicable endorsements or apply rating to ensure safe profitable distribution of risks, using reference materials

Job Description:

The Senior .Net Programmer is responsible for break/fix and project development work to include requirements gathering, development, and documentation. BTIS has a large portfolio of custom projects with a forecast for more in the future. In addition, BTIS has several legacy formats that will need to be converted or combined into new architecture. This candidate will develop some applications from scratch to work with the needs of the end user as well as enhancing and supporting existing applications. Lastly, BTIS would also expect this candidate to assist with technical architecture and automation of solutions.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or 3+ years of related working experience
  • Some knowledge of the insurance industry a plus
  • Design, code, debug, and test web site applications and web services

Summary:

As a part of the AmTrust Claims team, the Claims Analyst will be responsible to conducting claim reviews and audits, large loss reporting, data analysis, and a wide range of technical and administrative functions to support the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist VP of claims and Program Directors with management of claim reporting
  • Conduct audits for purposes of reserve adequacy and development
  • Review claims to positively impact investigations, action plans, evaluations, and reserves
